Rates are starting points and all rentals remain subject to availability, identity and licence verification, route approval, insurance requirements and a signed rental agreement. Where this page and a signed agreement differ, the signed agreement applies.

2. What is normally included?
- The confirmed vehicle for the agreed rental period.
- Unlimited kilometres per day.
- Vehicle handover and familiarisation.
- Basic route and tyre-pressure guidance.
- WhatsApp support during the agreed service hours.
3. What is not included unless stated?
- Fuel, tolls, traffic fines, park entry, accommodation, food and activities.
- Camping equipment or optional extras not listed in the quotation.
- Cross-border documents, border fees, one-way delivery or collection charges.

4. Driver eligibility
Every driver must provide an original valid driving licence and acceptable identification. International visitors may need a passport and an International Driving Permit where the licence is not accepted by the insurer or authorities. Minimum age, licence history and additional-driver rules are confirmed in the quotation because they depend on insurance approval.
5. Insurance and responsibility
The quotation and rental agreement must identify the applicable cover, excess, exclusions and available upgrades. Damage to tyres, rims, glass, roof, underbody, interior, water-damaged components, recovery costs and negligent or prohibited use may be excluded or treated differently. These limitations must be read and accepted before collection.
6. Security deposit
The applicable deposit is secured before handover. After return, the vehicle and equipment are inspected. The balance is refunded through the agreed method after authorised deductions, if any, have been assessed. The final agreement will state the processing procedure and expected timeframe.
7. Routes and cross-border travel
The intended route must be disclosed before booking. Cross-border travel requires prior written approval, correct insurance and documents, and may involve additional fees. Selected roads, water crossings, dunes, salt pans or extreme off-road routes may be restricted. Road and border conditions can change and remain the traveller's responsibility.
8. Collection and return
Collection and return times, fuel level, vehicle condition, equipment inventory and any delivery arrangements are recorded at handover. Late returns, missing items, abnormal cleaning or unauthorised collection changes may carry reasonable disclosed charges.
9. Changes and cancellation
The quotation will state payment deadlines and the cancellation terms for the selected vehicle, tour and third-party suppliers. Any cancellation charge must be disclosed and considered in light of the booking circumstances, costs already incurred and applicable consumer law. Supplier penalties may apply to parks, accommodation and activities.
10. Breakdowns, incidents and emergencies
Stop safely and contact Explorer 4x4 Hire as soon as possible. Do not authorise repairs, towing or replacement parts without approval unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety. Accidents, theft and damage may require police, insurer and incident reports. Emergency response can be limited by distance, road and communications coverage.
11. Guided and overlanding services
Guided transport and overlanding services are subject to suitable vehicles, professional-driver requirements, route permissions and any applicable tourist-guide or operating permissions. The final itinerary identifies what is included and who supplies each service.
12. Ask before paying
Before paying, request the final quote, rental agreement, insurance summary, cancellation terms, equipment list and cross-border approval where relevant. Contact Explorer 4x4 Hire on WhatsApp 079 239 1842 or email [email protected].
